This photo shows
three and one half hours of hand painting so far. I have painted
all the yellows and greens of the sweet peas. What you don't
see above is the four hours designing this composition before
I apply the first strokes of color! The canvas size is 7x 10
inches. |
Now I am at the
end of my second day of painting, seven and one half hours and
counting! It's at this point that I think I have only 20-30 minutes
left. Wishful thinking! The ribbons and two flower petals have
yet to be painted. Next is the tonal readjustments in the values. |
At midday on the third day the painting is done.
I have yet to enter the invoice into my computer, package the
design and go to the post office to ship. The total design and
painting time: 25.5 hours! It is a very labor intensive work
painting a stitch painted canvas! I am sure you agree! |
